How do i get an anemone to release?

I have an anemone I would like to transfer to a different tank but for some reason it likes my glass on my aquarium. I don't know how to get it to release from the glass without hurting it. Can anybody help me with some suggestions?

If it's completely on the glass, that's about the easiest removal. Take a credit card and gently push it under the foot - making sure to be under the foot and not digging into the foot. It should peel up like a chocolate chip cookie off of a pan.

Ok, great! Thank you very much. I was curious because I didn't want to hurt it. I will give that a shot.

Once you get started peeling it you'll see the foot is a lot stronger than you'd expect. When they curl up they feel tough like a clam.

Put a couple of ice cubes in a ziplock bag and gently touch the foot. It should release after a little bit and will not hurt it. Putting it into direct flow also will help get it moving.
