I went away for a little and come back to find coraline all over my nuvo 8. I have had no past experience with getting this stuff off of acrylic so i am at a loss. I assume that i cant use a conventional scraper, is there any good way to get it off?

Magic erasers are aquarium safe? Awesome! Love those things!

Original ones are, yes. Effectively its just a sanding block of really fine grit suspended in a foamy thing... I love them. I wet them if i clean the outside of the tank with them, and i cut one in half (making it thinner) and use them on the inside magnet of my cleaner too.

I was told it was acrylic but i could be wrong. Anyway, i am planning on remodeling my tank soon. Better rocks, better lights, better coral.

I wipe down with a magic eraser, but have to use a Kent scrapper to get the coraline stuff. I use two different length scrappers.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser - original only

+1. I use the original cut in half on my evolve 2 gallon inside and out. It will actually polish the acrylic because of how fine the material is.

Just complete it in a reasonable amount of time as the material will begin to break down after a few minutes of being completely soaked which is normal. There is nothing toxic in the material though.

The Kent scrapers have changed to a harder plastic and they didn't feel a need to tell anyone. That is why I linked to the new continuum acrylic blades earlier in this thread...
