How do I keep Zoanthids in Check?

I have multiple zoanthid colonies that have exploded and are now impeding on my sps colonies. Will they grow onto the sps colony or will they lose to the sps?

How can I kill the zoanthids that are near my sps? Any suggestions?

take the rock out of the water (if possible) and peel them off. Dont kill them just donate to other reefers or any fish store or even sell them. Who knows some might love them! Many reefers prefer to keep 'zoa garden' area with separated rock(s) from main structure to make zoa maintenance a snap.

Razor blade, finger nail, screwdriver. They peel off fairly easily once you get them closed up and then you can put a dab of superglue gel on a plug and put them on there. they are pretty hearty (im sure u know this already) so dont be too worried about hurting them.. they will heal

just make sure to wear gloves and eye or face protection and take cae not to get any residue in your eye or mouth.

My large Angel fish (s) will eat most of them. They especially like the small delicate colorful ones. not so much the big ugly brown ones but most of them. Also I used to get the checkerboard snails from a local shop. They will predate the Zoanthids. I have one colony of ugly brown ones that i keep in check by growing blue ridge coral around it. They wont spread onto Blue ridge coral. I havent exterminated the colony because i have had it since 1987 and i have a sentimental attachement to its big ugly brown polyps.
