How do I make my zoo's spread?

Do things like zoo's and star polyps spread and grow on their own? I will be taking everthing out of my little 30g and putting into my 190g when the time is right and I like to have more zoo's and gsp's in the larger tank. Is there a way I can "motivate" growth and spreading?

Only ways that I know are good lighting and lots of flow. Zoanthids and GSP will benefit from increased flow and have been proven to propagate quicker.
