how do you all feed when on hollidays ?

well im going away in july. ok so its not for a while. but im not sure what to do about feeding. i feed twice daily with frozen food. and this obviously wont work with an auto feeder. most of the fish in my tank eat flake except the yellow tang. so what should i do :S ? any ideas ?

If you're going to be gone for less than 2 weeks I wouldn't worry about feeding. I'd just worry about topoff.

I have cut up my dried sea weed in small pieces that my auto feeder will dispense and added pellets for up to 13 days with no problems, I have yellow tang, regal, purple, powder brown, orange shoulder and a few others.

You could look into something like this:

D&D Marine ProFeeder

It won't load the food from the freezer automatically, but it'll slowly disperse frozen foods into the tank once you put it in there. You could maybe arrange for a friend to stop by once a day or every other day for a quick minute to just drop the frozen food in there.

I never worry about feeding if under a week or two. I just have someone check on my top off reservoir.

I usually feed two cubes of frozen daily as well. When on vacation, I use an eheim automatic feeder to feed dry foods twice daily, and then I have someone come by every other day to feed a cube of frozen.

kool its only for 12 days. lol. topoff is sorted. been busy planing running a line from my ATO unit to my garage where ive got a 50g drum of RO/DI

I go 10 days without feeding... but at 2 gallons a day evaporation is my problem

I use an Automatic Feeder and get somebody to come round every few days to feed frozen and Nori. Would your Dad be able to do it?
