how do you do a pimafix or mela fix Dip??

Hi I am going to attempt to do a "dip" on one of my sick fish I do not have a qt tank and I do not want to med my tank do to corals and such I have melafix and pima fix and ich cure I am not sure how much of the med to put into the bowl Im going to dip my fish in and I do not want to burn or od the fish and also should I use fresh or salt water?? Please help thanks

What are you dipping your fish for? You mention ich cure - any "dip" procedure for something like ich is a waste of time since all treatment chemicals basically only affect the off-host, free swimming infective stages.

thanks for the reply Ive got a tang that looks to have a bacterial infection my other one died last night if someone can please tell me how to dip my remaing tang so I dont loose it too
