mine is getting way out of hand, and real estate is precious in a 29:D TIA

here's a pic of it, it's growing on a 5-6lb hunk of fiji

I just cut mine with scissors and tied it onto a piece of rock with sewing thread. That worked fine. I found it would grow even faster :) And the new piece could have the thread removed in a couple of weeks no problem

thanks, i'll try that. i just wasn't sure if there was a good place to start slicing

oh and welcome to reef central

Thanks for the welcome :) I've been doing a lot of reading and no posting. Amazing site lots of info. I just cut big pieces off. Sounds savage but it seems to be a tuff coral. Heres a picture.
At the back is the one I cut from. With the new cutting in front. Both fully recovered. Looking at them you wouldn't know they had been cut with polyps growing were I cut.Its only been around 3 weeks and both fine. It really seems to be a good coral for this and liked by many so good for trading :)

I use a nice sharp razor blade (as most of my scissors are too dull and tend to TEAR at the flesh - not good) and just slice a piece off.

To mount, I toothpick the frag to a small piece of rock. WOrks like a charm.
