I have a ton in my tank....and I know that they eat away at clams. How do I get rid of them prior to getting a clam? My tank is well established and I want avoid any unnecessary deaths...

thanks in advance.

Let me know if you find out.

Let me know if you find out.

I've got them too. I've heard some wrasses will eat them. However, I have not had any luck yet, even though I've tried a couple of different wrasses. It could be that the wrasses have to be fairly large and the ones I've bought were too small.

Pyramid snails are prey specific.
If you don't already have clams in your tank, then the snails are probably not the type that attack clams.
You possibly have the smaller ones that will feed on snails.

BTW, I've had success with lightning wrasse, and six lines for control of pyramids.

Thanks...

I have a 6 line who won't touch them...

I had a clam in my tank once but through observation, the snails were on his shell (removed the clam constantly to take the snails off him and finally gave up and got ride of the clam, I didn't want him to die...).

Any other solutions? I am considering removing all sand to get rid of these guys! They drive me crazy...I saw nearly 20 on my glass this morning (lights off)...

Same ones...I've read the other posts and see there isn't much we can do except manually removing?!! Crazy...first this, whats next?
