I've run out of pH buffer and my pH is 8.0,
I live a long way from the salt water fish store and it will take a few days to order some. Can you put any common household chemicals or food products in the tank to safely manipulate the pH?
Thanks a lot!
You can use baking soda as many do. Here is an article which explains how to make a calcium, alkalinity(buffer), and a magnesium supplement. I'll also attach a link to a chemistry calculator in which you can decide how much to use according to your test results.
