How do you plant macro algae?

Like the title states. I am coming from the planted tank world. How do i go about properly planting macro algae? Do you plant different varieties differently?

well it all depends on whcih type of algae you are trying some like to be planted in sand and other will take to rock, as with everything you want to keep you need to do a little reserch. So of the most easy mirco algaes to keep are the ones you dont want in your tank! j/k check out some of the stickies on the top og this forum for some sites.
