Don't have one yet, but just curious of what the needs of a starfish in a bare-bottom QT tank would be, anyone have any reading or experience with this(for reef safe stars)?
I don't have a clue, but my lawnmower blenny finally got hungry in a bare bottom hospital tank, and found both the nori and spirulina disk. it took him 2 weeks though. He lost his belly, and made me real nervous. Good Luck!
What kind of Star fish is it? If its a linkia, there is nothing you can feed it directly it is unknown as to what they eat exactly, most will starve in a year in most tanks. If its the long armed type those usually eat detritus which your quarantine wont have, although usually they will accept partial cubes of formula one or two which they will grab from your hand.
