How do you remove an anemone?

My nems keep splitting, so if I were to remove one could i do it without killing it and move it to another tank?

What if its base is deep in love rock?

point the powerhead at it. it will move after awhile. some people also use "ice cube" method.

I would second the power head. Tried the Icecube method once but no matter how many different songs or albums of his I played the anemone would not let go.

I get my finger at the base of the foot and gently move it. If it's Got a strong hold, powerhead works.
