I got a Sicce 2500 that I want to change the impeller on. I open it up and remove the impellar, but I cant get it off the magnet. How do you disconnect the impeller from the magnet?
Jim I just changed mine on that same pump. Grab the magnet in one hand and the impellar in the other and pull really hard. There is a small cap on the end that will fly off. Try to keep an eye on where it lands!
Did you go with the purple or red devil?
Does the impeller move freely on the magnet until it hits the stops. I had that problem with mine and it was making a ton of noise if it even would start up at all. I talked to Jeremy at Coral Vue who gave me the heads up on the impeller problem. I ended up getting a new purple needlewheel with magnet attached. He recommended the purple for the least amount of problems. I do have to say the purple works way better than the original white one.
might try taking it back off and looking at pins on the wheel, if some are longer there's a good chance that's where the problem is. take a piece of sand paper and sand down until all the pins are same length. it worked for me.
