Since I started this 10g tank I have wondered how to supplement it. I will be adding some SPS,LPS, mushrooms and some zoa's. So just a bit of everything. I have about 35 lbs. in the tank. So what elements do i need?? Strontium, Magnesium, Calcium, some buffer to keep the PH up. But what do you do for your tanks is what i want to know. Pics of tanks would be cool too.
Thanks Steve

2 gallon weekly water changes. I've been adding alk like a maniac because it keeps dropping and i've been having trouble keeping it stable. Most of the "additives" out there aren't needed as all the elements will be supplied when you do water changes... sooo I guess this means the only additives you REALLY need are pure h20 and NACL :D
The other ones you should keep on hand are an alk buffer, ph buffer and a small bottle of calcium.

I agree w/ Stewie24... I have a 5g nano and my 2g weekly water changes keep it looking good. I was adding calc when it was around 350 but now for the past 3 mo's it has stayed around 450 w/o adding, just waterchanges. ( I have 3 stony's and some softies ) The less you add the better as far as I am concerned. Awhile back I started adding a tiny bit of phyto for my featherduster and developed an algea bloom...After many waterchanges and running a constant supply of Phosban I have gotten control of the algea.....

I have a 10g. Weekly 33% WC that has buffer added, then the only other thing I add is calcium. I have SPS and LPS in my tank. Everyone is doing well, the SPS is growing quite fast.
