Kalkwasser will do fine for a while when starting out and your frags are small, but after a while it couldn't keep up with demand in my tank so I switched to Randy's 2-part from BRS. I am still using just kalk through an ATO on a secondary 50 gallon tank, where it is still meeting demand, but that tank is young.
My personal method for my main tank is to test Alk every few days and adjust the dosing pump timer up (or down, if it starts to climb past my target) to keep it stable as demand rises. I test Ca less often and also adjust the dosing pump as needed. Over time this has meant that my dosing of each have not stayed equal and I am dosing a bit more Alk than Ca daily. I check Mg even less often and add as needed to keep it up above 1300.
This is just what has been working for me to keep things stable FWIW.
