How does everyone mount corals?

So I have a 75 gallon display tank that has been cycling for a few months and I have one Duncan coral placed on the sand. I wanted to start mounting little corals on my rocks and was curious how everyone did it. The two products I have are below.

I know a lot of frags come on either pieces of live rock or a little disc similar to what i have. I guess I'm worried that if you mount something like a quarrel to the live rock"¦ What happens if the coral dies? How do you get it all off?

We use putty like u have and lock tite gel under the putty. Putty around coral, gel under putty, smush onto rock, hold for two min. Done. U can break it off if u need, putty will not hold under water by itself it just good to ensconce coral into rock

Btw for a disk or plug u can putty the back while dry and then put glue on the bottom, make an indent for glue, and stick to rock

I just super glue them to the live rock....easy peasy ...

If you can take out the rock, dry the portion where you want to attach the coral and just super glue it. Otherwise, small amounts of epoxy works just fine.

I just use some type of reef glue gel.

I use the epoxy you have in the picture. Grab a bit, knead it until it's all a blended uniform color, grab my coral I want to stick and put it on the back then just push it onto my live rock.

Also my live rock is all underwater and I have no way to pull it out. So this is done underwater and haven't had any issues with anything not holding securely. I even have an urchin who likes to pick up everything and anything possible and the frags I stick in the tank haven't budged.

Make sure the coral is going to be in a place it will be happy.

Then use 2 part reef epoxy on rock.

Seems to work like a charm

This is how I do it unless it is something I know will start encrusting quickly, then I just use the super glue gel.

you can get it off.

just a twist and it snaps off unless its already encrusted on the surrounding rock, and even then the main piece will usually snap off leaving residual coral to regrow
