“How My 35g Build Turned Into a 60g Adventure!”
Hey reefers!
What started as a simple plan to set up a 35-gallon reef tank quickly spiraled into something much bigger—literally. I thought I had everything planned out, but as I dove deeper into the world of reefing, the idea of “just a bit bigger” kept growing. Before I knew it, I was swapping out my plans for a full-on 35-gallon build! To a 60-gallons
From equipment upgrades to rethinking the layout, I’ve had quite the journey getting here, and I can’t wait to share it with you all. I’ll be posting updates on the build process, challenges I’ve faced, and all the cool features I’m working on. Plus, I’d love to hear your feedback and tips as I put this setup together!
Stay tuned for pics, progress updates, and maybe a few surprises along the way. Who else has experienced “tank upgrade fever”? Let me know your stories below!
With this stan am planning on hiding 80% or more of the wires I have not shown you many of the features I will add a video soon, a small summary of what I want to do with my tank the main ID out of the tank it's a bit futuristic showing off as much as I can of equipment. I am a bit of equipment, junkie, and technology. That's why I picked the hydrous controller with that gives me a lot more flexibility on many other things like controlling pumps like we all know and many other extras that I will be showing you the main idea with the stand is to keep it clean to keep it without clutter, but at the same time, functional and taking advantage of every space necessary of the stand to run the tank with this set and planning to maximize the sump area now that a second stand might come to play the plan before was to have the sump and a really small then about three or 4 gallons of our old water container made an acrylic. If I do make the second stand that will give me enough room to make a way larger sump
Here is a video of the progress this weekend I will be cutting and gluing my sump so lots of new and exiting things are coming
