how far between cntrl and vdm?

i am thinking of purchasing a controller soon to control the dimming of my lights, I would like to run the controller cable in and along the ceiling then down thru the wall, was wondering how far can I connect the apex controller to the vdm?

Tested to 200' but the electronics behind the xceivers are used in industrial environments many times that distance. I think you would be safe no matter what length you went.

thanks for the input, so i am going to make my own aquabus cable... is this cable pinout the same as a standard USB?
