How far down

I have a 135 RR 72x24x24.....I plan to put the streams in the back corner aimed to the 1/3 rd front....my question is how far down in the tank should they be placed?

I would start with a spot just far enough down that it doesn't suck in bubbles from the surface. Everyone's tank is different, so just play around with the locations until you find one that works with your set-up.

As Luis said, I would be relatively near the surface as surface movement is the most critical component of flow.
