I think his anemone just happens to be one that likes to grow fast and clone itself very often. Because those are all clones of a single animal, you can think of it as dozens of separate animals or as one animal. Take your pick.
There are at least fifty or sixty separate anemones in that first full tank shot picture that I posted. I keep telling him he should list them on eBay but he doesn't want the hassle of having to ship them. This is one clone that is guaranteed to reproduce in captivity! Fast! Very fast!
Here is a picture of an LTA in his 75-gal tank. Not to be confused with the RBTA that ate his 110-gal tank. This anemone did not clone itself like the RBTA. His RBTA devoured his 110-gal tank in about three years!

Actually, it was Heteractis crispa in that 75g tank that I gave up in 05. It became humongous....
The LTA had to be removed because H.crispa was killing it without a single touch... talking about chemical warfare....
I bought this amazing bright red with orange tips BTA, it was about 5" when I got it.. 5~6 weeks later under 2 x 20k 250w MH and twice weekly feedings of lancefish it's now about 12" across.
I have another green BTA which is about 15" and another red at 8".. going for an anemone tank myself
In this tank I also have a large magnifica that hosts my 2 pink skunk clowns and I have a single black saddleback clown (they both live together fine, the saddleback hosts the BTA's, skunks the magnifica and don't fuss each other).. was curious on peoples thoughts of me addings say another 9 juvenile saddlebacks when I have alot more anemones (got 3 large BTA's, including an orange/green mixed one coming next week).
