well if you do get a more powerful pump, throttle it down to a very low flow so that 10 seconds does not fill much - this instrument is so nice because it gives minute changes... and if itgets confuised like mine has (and others - not many,) but if happens it will pump until the float safty turns it off or 10 minutes which occurs first
