I'm a bad ACROS member, I know. It's been over a year since we attended a meeting and I really miss seeing all of your tanks. Unfortunately, we won't make the one next week either, but I saw the e-mail and wanted to say a quick hello.
Our tank has taken almost all of this time to recover, but we are now hair algae free and the fish have just decided not to let the ich get to them anymore. Much to my chagrin, the chromis have killed each other off so that we only have a pair remaining out of the school with which we started, and the fairy wrasse jumped the tank (I still can't figure out where) a few months ago, so it was looking a bit empty. We have 4 new fish in quarantine and so far they seem well.
I've asked Ray and James from coral connection to stop by for a system evaluation, and then maybe we'll try corals again. I will probably need lights (420 watts of VHO on a deep 120 won't cut it) and a chiller, so if you hear of any good deals, let me know. I'm really digging the outer orbit combo fixture that mounts the top of the tank, and it is one of the few that comes in a 60" length. It is fairly new, so I'll probaby have to buy it outright, but I'm hoping to come across a chiller on the boards. We already run at about 83 with the VHO.
That's about all I have...look forward to seeing you again soon and meeting some new faces.
