How is the live rock looking?

I was curious what your honest opinion is of the current batch of LR. I will most likely be ordering a small batch soon to seed the dry rock in my 125g.

Hi,

Thanks for the inquiry on our liverock.

The Fiji rock has been coming in pretty rough lately, however to a person who has only been in the hobby for a couple of years, and doesn't remember the Fiji of 6-10 years ago, it may not be that bad to them. I still am not a big fan of it, but if you're wanting something cheap it's a decent option.

The Timora and Bali Alor look great right now. The Timora is a little more dense, but has great growth and coverage on it. The Bali is much more porous, with a bunch of little caves and crevices, with great coloration. Either of these would be the way to go, although I would recommend the Bali as being the best we have right now.

Our Bali shipment keeps being delayed. I just got a message today from the islands and it will be arriving into LAX tomorrow morning.

The Bali has been a series of delays unfortunately! CITES ran out a few weeks ago for just about everything, and as usual the collection stations and officials they work with are not really on the same speed as us when it comes to getting things done.

I spoke with the station yesterday via email and was informed that rock would definitely be landing in the states this weekend. We should have it by Monday afternoon.
