Whats going on everyone? Hope your doing well with your lives and your tanks if these are even separate entitites.

Here we go: I am about to buy a new RO unit. It will be used for the purposes of an anemone tank(BTA) I am about to start over next few months, my current softie and fish tank, and a small SPS i just started.

Anyone use this unit? Look at it and tell me what you think. Also, if you see anything I might want to look at before ordering let me know.(like adapters etc...) I want this to be right when it comes to the door and ready to make my water.

I have always just gone to a buddies house to get water previously, but cant do it anymore. In case you were wondering why I didnt know about my own unit, yet have these set ups.

That units is pretty good, you can get a slightly better unit for the same price at www.airwaterice.com

The Typhoon III is very popular, it will cost $10 more but you get a pressure gauge and a TDS meter for that price. If not look at the Typhoon 1 it is cheaper than the reefgeek unit and has 5 stages.

I would recommend typhoon III also, however I would suggest that any R.O. unit you look at uses a Dow Filmtec membrane. You are looking at roughly 3 years of good use with this membrane whereas some of the cheaper ones will start degrading earlier. remember to always keep an eye on your carbon. If it stops removing the chlorine this will damage your R.O. membrane, also it will degrade your D.I. filter quicker. Make sure to change your D.I. as soon as it changes color otherwise the ionic charge will reverse and start dumping everything it has been removing from your water. If you follow these guidelines you'll be set. I used to work for U.S. Filter if you really need to know.
