How long 4 a Crocea to attach?

Topic says it all. He's setting high in 46g about 4" from top under 2 175MH 110w of CF mounted 8" above tank. Pleased on LR now for about 4 days. First spot on lLR was 3" lower, and I moved him up a bit today to see if he'll attach.

Will he, or do they not attach for a while?

TIA

2 of my 3 croceas attached within a day, the other took a few days.If it's happy where it's at it will attach. Some stores keep them in poorly lit tanks and you have to slowly acclimate them to higher light levels.

It can take anywhere from 20minutes to weeks depending on damage to the foot. Just focus on whether or not the mantle is fully spread, as long as that is the case the clam is happy and leave it alone, it will attach in due time. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. The clam is starting to attach now. The LFS had the clam for some 4-5 months under dual 250 MH in their basement, so the clams used tot he bright lights.

It amazes me the difference in appearance from the way the clams looked when viewed from the top and then the side! Here's a couple pic's, first on is a shot from the top.
