no one knows how long they can live. its thought that some species could live for as little as 15 to 20 years on up to as long as hundreds

they all can spawn multiple times a year

I often wonder what my big clam would taste like? It would make a nice chowder! I remember the Survivor episode where they got this 18 inch clam that was awesome in color and ate it.
