How long can an RBTA stay out of water

I am thinking about doing a peroxide dip for some of my live rock. I have an RBTA on a rock with quite a bit of hair algae. I do not want to dip the whole rock the RBTA is on but I thought if I removed the rock from the tank I could spot treat that rock and then return it to the tank.

How long can the RBTA be out of water without harming it?

I had one shipped to me and the bag broke. Got a damp pile of rose anemone I thought was dead. Threw it in my tank and it inflated. They can take some punishment. But I'd keep it as quick as possible.

BTA's are regularly shipped with little to know water in the bag from the collectors. They can retain water in their bodies with little issue and can remain dry for several hours. My concern would be more with it getting damaged as the tissue will sag and could rub on the rock.

Thank you for the replies. I did not realize they could be out of the water that long. I was able to spot treat the rock and get it back into the tank pretty quick. The silly clownfish tried to take the ride out of the tank with the nem. Once I had it out I too became concerned about the rock scratching the nem but once back in the tank it inflated quickly. It looked so pathetic while out of the water.

ya.. my softball sized BTA looked like a flat nickle outside..

I have taken rocks out a few times, smashed it with a hammer, and picked up the pieces with BTA attached on. So for a good minute they are completely out
