My current 60 gallon reef is being taken over by green bubble algae.
I've tried feeding twice/week and changing water 10% twice/week for the past two months but the bubble algae just seems to increase.
I have only LPS/softies.
I have a 30 gallon sump that is filled up to 20 gallons--half filled with chaetto, and running a Aqua Remora Urchin, and 2 units of 2-Fishes Phosban reactors (one unit filled with phosban and the other filled with carbon).
Lights are on from 5pm until midnite, 4-54W T-5's. I'm thinking about cutting lights off entirely hoping that the algae would disappear.
What do you guys think of that?
I need these annoying algae gone pronto.
