I have no clue what I'm doing, please help. I have a 90 gallon tank with compact florescents. 2 65w Blue Actitic. and 2 65 Watt Regular. What kind of schedule should I use to turn the lights on and off? Thank you for your help!
No more than 12 hours a day, andno less than 8. If this is a new cycling tank, I would advise not to have the lights on. Otherwise you will only increase the algae growth that you could have.
The actinics simulate a dawn and dusk affect. Having the actinics on a hour before the normal lights come on, and a hour after the normal lights go off is also fine.
