How long do you leave your lights on?

Please state if it is FOWLR or reef.

I ask this question because I am not sure how long to leave mine on for.

Reef, 12hrs total (70g tank)

1x150W 20k 12:00 noon till 12:00 midnight (12hrs)
1x250W 14k 14:00 till 18:00 (4hrs)
1x250W 14k 16:00 till 20:00 (4hrs)

To summarise, 650w for 2 hrs, 400w for 6hrs, 150w for 4 hrs if that makes sense.

Kinda trickly just to say I have my lights on for 12hrs, cuz if I had all my lights on for this period, I would bleach my Corals for sure.

I have a 120 reef (or on its way to being one).
I use two 54w PC actinic lights (14k) on for 12hours 9a to 9p
and two 250w MH 14k for 10 hours (10a to 8p)
I also use moon lights on the off hours.

My fuge uses two 40w PC (1 actinic/1 daylight) running reverse from the display tank lights. It als has a moon light.
