How long does it take for button type polyps to reattach?

I found a few button polyps floating around in my tank. If I place them on a rock with no glue how long would it take for them to attach?

my green polyps attached in 2 weeks. You can rubber band them to the rock to hold em in place till they attach.

One thing I have done in the past is thread a needle through the bottom of the polyp and tie the thread around a piece of rubble rock or anything else you want to use. Once it attaches just cut the thread and slowly pull it out....Hope this helps.

I have a rubber band on it now, but I can't tell it it's choking it. A needle huh? That doesn't hurt it?

That's at least another way.

Thanks.

it'd take a couple weeks at most, but why no glue? some superglue gel can work underwater, and while it may not be the best way to mount softies, it sure is the easiest approach in my experience.

I had 4 of my fiji ultra gren polyps fall of the main colony and I reattached them to a small 2 X 2 piece of live rock with loctyte super glue gel at the base, they have been doing great for 2 weeks.
