Last week my alk spiked to 16 and a few of my sis lost its color. My alk is now back down to 9.8 and everything is looking better but still not as colorful. Ive been putting reef energy A and B in and adding red sea coral corals whenever 20 ppm of calcium is used up.

how long will it take for the coral to get its color again?

it can take some time. Some coral may return color after a week or two, some may take longer. I would recommend setting up a doser system so you don't have to worry about it.

I have a loser but I've had the alk off since it was so high. How much should I dose daily for a 90 gallon with a lot of SPS frags, 1 small SPS colony, and several LPS frags and 2 large LPS colonies? Im dosing 23ML of calcium right now which seems to just barely be too much so would maybe 20 ML calcium and 20 ML soda ash do the trick? Any other tips to get them to color up again quick?

Get a good alkalinity test kit......pick a number on the alk 8-11 and stop dosing for 24 hours and see where your alk drops to. There are online calculators that will show how many ml per dkh to add and then try to program smaller doses for stability.

The sooner the stress goes away, quicker the color returns. Lower your light level a tad with more blue for healing and feed your coral with amino acids and make sure water parameters are in line.

I've had LPS, SPS, and zoas go bleached and take months to come back, as long as the tissue is still there, it's alive and salvageable.
