How long of a wait for TBS?

Hi,
How long of a wait is there after placing an order for TBS to ship the rock? I htought I read in a post that some guy has been waiting since december for his rock, and I was hoping I read it wrong. My wife gave me the great birthday gift of letting me buy the rest of my LR through TBS :D , so I was wondering how long I would have to wait if I ordered it soon. Also, one last question...I have a 37gal tank, that I started out with 20lbs of cured LR. I noticed the cycle was VERY short (basically a day or two). Can I expect it when I add 25 lbs of TBS rock w/corals to be the same, or do you think it will be a longer cycle? Just asking because I have 4 small fish and some crabs and was wondering if I should put them in another tank for a few days.

It all depends on if they have rock or not when you place your order. I waited a month for mine. They got to dive this past week and someone called and placed an order and had it that afternoon.

As far as the cycle, someone else will have to help you with that part.

I just received my part 2 shipment this past Friday after waiting a little over a month. The weather plays a big part in the delivery schedule. Bad weather = no diving. I'll tell you this though, it was worth the wait. I'm still new to salt and learning the different names for the marine life but there's so much of it on the rock it took me a long time to figure out which side looked best and which side I wanted to sacrifice when I aquascaped my tank. I went to my LFS the following day to brag on my rock and they had gotten a shipment of "live" rock from their supplier that was mostly "lifeless" and they charge $6 lb. In addition to a few hitchhikers (a very large gorilla crab and a 4" blenny), the TBS folks threw in some freebies. Bottom line, even if you have to wait to get your TBS LR, you won't be disappointed.

As far as cycle time goes, I've been cycling since Friday night and I really haven't been able to tell much difference in ammonia levels. Parameters are almost the same as before but I'm doing a partial water change tonight just to be safe. I haven't removed any fish: 8 damsels, 2 mollies, 2 clowns, 1 coral beauty, 1 yellow tang, a few anenomes, hermit crabs and previous hitchhikers and they all seem to be doing just fine.

P.S. - I forgot to mention, I ordered my rock on Thursday and had it Friday......

Luckily they have been able to dive lately. Many people have finally been able to get their orders and a bunch of people are getting theirs today!

Jerry, did you call or e-mail when you placed the order for the 2nd batch? I haven't been able to get in touch with them about getting my 2nd batch. Looking forward to it though!
