How long should I leave my lights on?

I am running my MH about 8 hrs a day and my pc's from about 8 till 9 in the evening. Is this too long? I have a pineapple thats not doing real well and a hammer that is shrinking I was wondering if cutting back on the lights might help.

I would look elsewhere. I was running my MH 12hrs, and have just recently dropped to 10. How old is the bulb? Have you checked all of the water parameters yet? If all that is fine, try taking a close look for parasites like red bugs or look at nite to see if there is something bothering them after dark. Could be a ton of things, but 8 hrs is nowhere near too much light.

I think your range is good. I run my 10000K (daylight) bulbs about 9 hours and actinics about 12.

I would look into bulb life and temperature if the parameters are good. FWIW, I used to run my MH for 12 hours a day and my actinics for 14. Now, the Actinics are 12 hours, and the MH is at 6
