I lost my two captive bred erectus seahorses that I had had since october this month.
They had been sick from some unknown cause for a few months. The only symptoms were that they refused to eat and no longer mated with each other.
I quarentined them and treated them with a variety of medications and antibotics, but nothing seemed to help.
After all, I lost them anyway. The fish that were the tankmates in my 45 gallon display tank never showed any signs of illness and are still eating well.
My question is, how long should I allow my tank to lie dormant before I purchase more seahorses( in the case of a parasite)?
