How long should Neptune Temp probe last?

I just replaced my two PH probes.. had them for 5 years and seems like they were reading bad numbers..

How about the temp probe? I need that reliable.

My understanding is that they last pretty much forever. PH probes do have a lifespan, some people even recommend yearly replacement but the temp probe should be fine. Though it is possible for them to be damaged they don't have a set lifespan or anything.

If you want to be double sure it is possible to add another temp probe to your Apex. I have redundancy because I have my heater set at 80 then my apex set at 78. So if the apex were to ever stick on for any reason the heater would kick off at 80 on it's own.

As long as it's not physically damaged, it ought to last for decades.
