How long silicone cure?

I developed a leak in my sons tank and I'm going to have to drain it and reseal it! This bites! How long do I need to leave it dry after I re-silicone it? And what was the silicone brand/type I'm supposed to use? If I remember correct don't they have aquarium sealant in the calk tubes or is it only in the squeeze tubes?

It says on that site that you should wait 48hrs before adding water. Sorry to hear about the leak.

I have a 65g you can borrow if you need it.

You can pick the chalk tubes at Lowes or HD. You want to get the Silicone I not the Silicone II. The II has a fungicide in it. I just bought some a month ago and it is less expensive to get the chalk sized tubes. Good luck.

I took the lion to one of my frag tanks, and any of the corals went too. The live rock I put in a rubbermade with a couple powerheads, one down in and another kind of splashing the surface for aeration. I'm trying to save the sand since it was a ssb and shouldn't be too toxic. After I get a good amount of the sand out I'll carry it outside, hose it out and head to Lowe's. At least I don't have to work until 5 today.

I guess I'll use this time to set up a little sump/fuge on it while I'm at it. Try to get something positive out of it. I had a buddy bring me over about 30 lbs of rock last night I had planned to add to it and was still in the container that I'm now adding my rock to.
