how long till i give up

i just added a maxima to my tank the other day. it has now been a few days and the clams mantle is still not fully extended. i have checked for anything that could be irritating it and have found nothing. the clam is under higher light in my tank that it was in the tank at the LFS but how long should i give the clam to fully extend itself before i pull it for fear of it dying and crashing my tank. all of my params are perfect. i am keeping an eye on my alk and calcium.

can you post a pic?
What fish and inverts do you have?
What lighting do you have?
What are your params?
How did you acclimate it?


Don't pull it yet, you will know when it is dead and it probably won't crash your tank.
