How long to qt corals?

I have been using a 10g qt to quarantine any new corals. How long should they be kept in the qt? I was thinking about 6 weeks just in case they came from a tank with ich in it. The qt does not have any fish in it, I qt fish in a separate 10g.

I do 4 to 6 weeks pending on the condition of the coral....

My lfs keeps corals in their own tank with no fish... well some of them are maintained like this. I think 4-6 weeks is good if it is coming from a tank that has fish in it, but if not, I don't really see the need for more than a week.
