How long will Chaeto last

If I pull my extra Chaeto out of refugium. how long will it last? should I store it in Refridge in a baggie? With water or not? or should I leave it in refugium till I need it?

What are you storing it for? Its a macroalgae, it needs light, most definitely water, and nutrients to survive.

I was wanting to remove some from my refugium, but not sure when I will make it to the LFS or see a fellow reefer to give them some. I did not know if I could just put some in a baggie and seal it an put in fridge for 3 or 4 days

Chaeto can survive cold temps, but its not good for it. If you want to keep it alive outside of your tank, it would do better just sitting in a bucket of tank water for a few days than sitting in a closed bag in the fridge.

It will last for several days in a plastic bag with a small amount of water (just enough to keep it wet). It does better with cool temps than hot temps, but should not get close to freezing.
