You can keep it like that for a few weeks with no problem. Of course you might have some die off after a while, but the rock will be fine.
You can cure live rock with just a rubbermaid container and a powerfilter... Liverock doesn't need much to keep the bacteria alive.

My coralline has just started to grow good onthe lace rock and I DON'T want to loose it!

If you plan to keep it there for a few days then make sure the container has light coming down on it. Doesn't have to be a lot to grow coralline or keep it alive. Coralline prefers low light anyway I've been told. You'd probably be fine to keep it by a window and let natural light in on the rock.
