How long does it take for star polyps to begin to adhere to a rock? I bought my first ones today and I just wedged then into a nice crevice in the live rock. I have heard of using super glue but I don't have any right now.
Usually old tissue will not attach but the new one fill if the edges are in contact with the rock. Of course how fast depends on it's growth which in turn depends on the living conditions.
