how many bulbs??

Ok. I would be interested to see the price on that 10 bulb pac sun fixture. I couldn't find pricing on it. 10 bulbs would be the way to go.

They don't give them away do they. But looks like a nice light. To bad you can't find a used 10 bulb power module. I don't think 2 fixtures would look very good but it's cheaper.

I run an 8 bulb on a 48x24x24. It's ATI Sunpower. Runs around 300 par on sand bed at 9 in chest above water. I raised it to 12 inches now. Puts out plenty of light. I suppose it depends if your gonna have acros wall to wall. And you can always add 1 or 2 reef brite strips if needed.

Before I upgraded to my current tank I had a 6 x 54 watt ATI Powermodule over my 120 gallon tank and I was able to grow sps anywhere in the tank. Admittedly the tank is only 24" wide not the 30" of your tank. A Friend of mine has a tank maintenance business and he has many stunning SPS tanks that he uses 6 bulb aquatic life T5 fixture over. One of the tanks is an Oceanic 144 gallon semi circle tank that must be 36" from front to back at the widest point. I think 6 bulbs would get you by and you would be able to grow SPS but with a 30" wide tank 8 would be better.

OK so based on what everyone is saying. I feel that an 8 bulb sunpower with two reef brights is the best solution.
Am I wrong for thinking this?
