how many devices can the aquacontrollers control

I read in a few threads here on RC that the Aquacontroller II was capable of controlling 22 or 24 devices - even though Neptune states that it can only control 20, the last few devices controlled work ok but cannot be displayed on the interface.

I cant find the threads now, but my question is...

Can the AC Jr control more than the 12 that Neptune claims?

I dont believe the probes are included in that number. This is the number of things that you, essentially, can plug into the controlling interfaces (DC powerstrips or X10 modules).

And, I have to say again that I keep getting conflicting reports from experienced people who are able to plug 24 things into the ACII. I'm not sure why the discrepancy is there. I'd really like to know if the same is true for the AC Jr. I might like to control more than 12 things.

The hard limit is 12 on the Jr., and 20 on the AC2. No one can control more than that. The probes are inputs into the controller, and does not effect the number of outputs.

sorry for any misleading comments here. i went back and re-read some of those threads i was talking about and i see now that i mis-interpretted some thing.

so of course, you are right about the nuber of devices these can control.
