How many fish?

I have a reef tank that is 55 gallons with a 10 gallon sump and I have a blue tang, sailfin tang, sixline wrasse, and clownfish but what is the rule for how many fish you can have. I've heard 1 inch per gallon but idk if that works for reef tanks. please Help

There's no set rule. There are too many variables. The more fish you have the more nutrient export you need.

You have two fish that will grow big fairly rapidly. I wouldn't add more but I would plan to get a bigger tank if I were planning to keep the two Tangs.

This. You could probably add a few smaller fish to that mix for now, but both tangs are going to need more room eventually. I think I'd remove them, get a small tang if you are set on one (like a kole or tomini) and then 3 or 4 smaller fish like more wrasses/anthias.

1" per gallon is a concept that originated with freshwater aquariums. In general it's not a good way to think about the hobby, and it's definitely not applicable to reef keeping.

I've heard of that rule but I won't really advise following it, there's alot of factors like actual dimensions of the tank, type of fish, amount of liverocks etc.
