How many inches of sand needed for a Pistol Shrimp and Goby combo?

Pistol Shrimp and Goby combo requires how deep of a sand bed?

I would say 3" at a minimum. IMO

2" is plenty. I have kept them for a long time in 2 inch sandbeds.

The larger gobies take 3" pretty happily. THere are smaller gobies.
