i have a species specific build i'm working on and i don't know how many led clusters i want to put on the top. obviously cost is a concern and this will be sps dominant, if it's too much money i'm just going to go with a 4ft giesemann spectra. but anyway.. i may even just go for the ati led powermodule but i like how simple the leds. i don't really care for programming options, i just want the right programming for the best colour

tank is 60x24x18

led's i'm considering are radion or ai, suggestions are welcome pictures are appreciated.

aim, to have the most colorful rendition of the corals as possible (obviously parameters take the biggest role) my aim is those pinks like ora red planet or birdsnest

suggestions would be appreciated!!

Why not take a look at the new Ghl mitras 7100 lamps? They are in my experience better quality than radion

I am partial to hybrid LED and T5, I use a Nanobox custom hybrid. If you want to go all LED I've only experienced two brands, the Nanobox arrays and Maxspect Razors. In my opinion any quality array will have Lime (white without the blue) and Cyan. This combination eliminates the typical purple hue of LED and renders everything nicely.

I built my own LED lighting system and have 13 clusters of 3 leds per heat sink. The spectrum is balanced and with 2 heat sinks, I get more than enough light for my SPS. Shadowing is a big problem with LED's and corals will be more brown on shaded sides for sure. Mark has a good point about hybrid systems. I recently added a single T5 bulb to even out the light on my 50 gallon reef. The full spectrum commercially available fixtures should give you adequate lighting for color. ................Jim

I vote Kessil, but you'll need a lot of them. I'm running the 360we's series one per foot of tank. :uhoh3: I don't like shadows.
