hey everyone i was wondering how many nems u can keep in a 24 gal nano with 5 gal. water changes everyweek. would there be problems with keeping multiple specimen in a singel tank.

If I'm not mistaken they can kill one another if too close. I know some people keep multiple nems in a tank, but they also have longer tanks where they are spread out. In a 24gal they'd be rather confined. I can't remember if it's a "chemical warfare" like some corals or what, but I know they can kill one another.

In my experience, any time my RBTA and my Sebea touched, the sebea got stung. It was never enough to cause any kind of drastic changes, but they definitely couldn't be in close quarters. Given that they were both 18" to 24" in diameter, I'd say only one in a 24 gallon tank. Big problem with anenomes is that you can't usually trust them to stay put, so all your other corals are at risk. My RBTA is in half of my fuge now with some rock and his tomato clown buddy.
