How many shrimp?

Greetings,

I am moving within the next several months into a new home. Instead of 'moving' my 65G reef tank, I am planning on taking advantage of the new space and upgrading to a 220G reef. I really enjoy my two cleaner shrimp, but I would like many more of various types of shrimp. I have access to a supply of scarlet skunk cleaner, peppermint, red blood and coral banded shrimps.

The tank will be moderately stocked with fish and corals. Adding the new livestock will be planned out over the next several years...

I would like as many shrimp as possible especially different types, ideally ones which can mate. What do I need to keep an eye out for? How many is too many (before bad things happen)? Etc...

Thanks in advance!

Do not get a coral banded, it'll eat other shrimp and small fish. They're highly opportunistic.
In a tank that size, you could have multiple pairs of cleaners. There's a chance the peps will be in danger from the cleaners if you get too many, though.

I wouldn't recommend more than one pair of cleaner shrimp.

You can fit a pair of fires, pair of skunks, and that's pretty much it. Peps you can throw in there but they don't have the best reputation, same for camels, CBS is a no no around other shrimp.

This isn't a space issue, just a compatibility one. Sexies for example wouldn't do good with large fish, camels are risky around coral, and peps same case.. alot of people bash them as coral predators when personally I think there is something else with that.

Having only one pair of the cleaners/fires would be to prevent problems with mates and such.
