How much caulerpa?

I know this is asking a lot without many details to go on. Lets say you have a system of 50 real gallon heavily stocked with softies. Maybe 4 smaller fish (6 line, ocellaris etc). Good skimmer and decent flow. If you were to add fuge how much Caulerpa would you need to grow to make an impact.

Some species of caulerpa have different growth rates, and different ratios of nutrient uptake. With a small bioload I would guess a small portion about the size of a softball let it grow to two or three times that size and prune it back.
